Welcome to Becket Primary School
We will develop the full potential of every child to thrive in a changing world.
To achieve this vision we will:
Cherish: We value all members of our school community. We will treat every child as an individual and recognise that they are all starting their school life with different needs, cultures and attitudes.
Nurture: Whatever the starting point of each child we will help them to grow and develop their skills academically and socially across a broad curriculum within a safe environment.
Achieve: Working in partnership with parents/carers each child will make progress to achieve the highest level of understanding and skill of which they are capable.
We hope that this site helps you to understand what happens in Becket Primary School but if you have further queries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Mrs James, Headteacher, is happy to deal with queries from parents and other members of the public. Please phone the school office to leave a message for her.
Are you eligible for help to pay for your childcare?
Government helps many families with childcare costs, whether you have toddlers or teens, you could get support.
Visits Childcare Choices to find out more about what you are eligible to receive and how to make childcare as cost effective as possible.
Community Garden Project
We have been successful in securing funding from the Big Lottery to create the Becket Community Garden. We now need volunteers from the local community to help us with advice or manual labour. Please see the Community Garden Page under Parent Information for more details.
We currently have a very short waiting list for the school nursery. If you know of any parents of 2/3 year old children who might be interested in a place in the future please could you encourage them to contact school to arrange a visit or complete an application form.
Join our PTA
Now our Parent / Teacher Association is up and running, we need more members! Being a part of the PTA is an excellent way to unite parents, teachers and the local community to help raise money and support our school. As parents and teachers we all have the same goal in making Becket Primary a successful happy school.
