Physical Education bold

The government provided additional funding for academic years 2013 to 2017, to improve provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools.  This funding is ring-fenced and therefore can only be spent on provision of PE and sports in schools.

Becket Primary School was awarded £8795 annually which we spent in the following key areas:-

  • Hiring qualified sports coaches to run after school clubs (see clubs)
  • paying for professional development opportunities for teachers in PE and sport
  • buying quality assured resources and materials for PE and sport
  • Taking part in sports competitions against other local schools

We will be receiving more funding for the academic year 2016-17.  This is how we plan to spend it.
